Cutting the Sides Of The Pins

Clamp your pin piece in the vice and start your first cut on the inside of the line. Place your free thumb on the side of the saw plate and begin to rub the teeth gently so as to stay exactly where you want. If anything, stay clear of the pencil line by the slightest amount. Once you’ve created a clean saw kerf, begin to take longer strokes and continue to saw down, stopping above the depth line. Repeat for the other cut.
