Finishing

Coat the box with 3 to 4 layers of shellac using a hake brush. Lightly sand with 240 grit sandpaper after the first coat. Once dry, coat the box in furniture wax polish using #0000 steel wool. Then buff out with a clean cloth or a shoe brush. This will leave a very soft, smooth finish.
